Frequently asked questions about our guest rooms

Do we need to bring our own poolside towels?

No, all bathroom linen is provided in every room at la Maison du Passage. There are bath towels, dressing gowns and wraps for when you use the sauna, spa and pool. You’ll also find disposable slippers.

Where can we park our car?

La Maison du Passage does not have a garage. There’s plenty of parking on La Petite Place de l'Eglise, a shady square in the village of Martignargues. Cars are within sight of the windows in the rooms.

Do the rooms have programmable air conditioning?

The hot water and the heating and cooling systems are geothermic, and operate fully automatically. Heating and summer cooling is transmitted through the floor, which gives a pleasant, gentle effect.

Do you have rooms for 3 people?

All the rooms in La Maison du Passage were designed for 2 people, and cannot sleep extra guests.

Which motorway exit should we take, coming from Lyon?

Some sat-navs will tell you to come off at Nîmes Ouest (Nîmes West). This isn’t the best option. If you’re coming from the north, we advise taking the Bollène exit, and following the signs for Alès. You should allow one hour to get to Martignargues after leaving the motorway.
However, if you’re coming from the south or from Spain, you should take the Nîmes West exit and follow the signs for Alès. Allow 30 minutes after leaving the motorway to get to La Maison du Passage.

Is there an additional charge for using the spa?

No, the sauna, spa and pool are provided for your use by La Maison du Passage and included in the room price.

So what additional charges should we allow for at your guesthouse?

Tables d'hôte dinners are available on certain evenings. Please remember to book the day before so that we can make the necessary catering arrangements. The charge for this meal is ¤52 + your drinks.
You also have a mini-bar in your room. There is a price list in the room.

How many days should we allow, ideally, to get the most out of your house and the surrounding area?

From experience, 3 or 4 days will give you time for plenty of exploring in the region and plenty of rest and recuperation back at La Maison du Passage.
Things you must not miss: Vézénobres, Uzès, Anduze, the Pont du Gard, the views from Mont Bouquet, La Bambouseraie bamboo gardens, the mining museum in Alès, Cévennes National Park .... and lots of other places that we’ll tell you about.

Are there hair-dryers in the rooms?

Yes, and magnifying mirrors too, so you can make yourself gorgeous. Soap, shower gel, shampoo and body lotions are provided for you in the bathroom.

Can we come back late without disturbing you?

Yes, access to La Maison du Passage and to your guest room is by keycard.

Do you accept bank cards?

Yes, the deposit and the balance for your stay can be paid by VISA, EUROCARD, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, by cash.

Can I bring my little dog?

We love animals, we have 2 cats and we therefore regret that we cannot accommodate your little dog.
